Shadowbane ran from 2003 through 2009. The audience was small, the population was concentrated, and the city-building and bane-siege endgame created some of the most concentrated PvP politics of the era. Vindication and the other siege guilds that came up through Shadowbane carried the city-building design philosophy forward into EVE and the Darkfall era.
