EverQuest's primary contribution to competitive gaming is raid culture, but the PvP rulesets on Sullon Zek, Rallos Zek, and Tallon Zek created a parallel scene with its own roster of dominant guilds. Fires of Heaven and Afterlife operated across both PvE raid leadership and PvP organization in ways that set templates for the next decade of guild structure.
